The LeLo Pet CloudStep S2 is a premium set of 2 steps for dogs and cats with a core of 40D high-density foam material. It was designed to offer controlled give underfoot, without the excessively soft feel of a material that sinks deeply. With dimensions of 40 × 40 × 31cm, it is the compact choice in the CloudStep series for accessing sofas, lower beds, and other favorite spots for your pet.
What does 40D mean in practice? For pet steps, it's not enough for the inner material to be simply soft. It needs to give as much as necessary underfoot, but at the same time offer support and maintain the geometry of the steps.
That's why 40D high-density foam material was chosen for the CloudStep series: for a balance between comfort, support, and shape recovery.
Why the density of the inner material matters
A very soft step can compress significantly when a pet puts its weight on it. This can make the step feel less stable and cause the geometry of the step to change more.
The CloudStep S2 uses 40D density material to ensure controlled compression while providing substantial support.
